NOTE: There are two versions of the hardware gateway. The v2 gateway is the only one available to new customers, and this help article is specific to v2.
Access the gateway’s user interface at http://gateway-ip-address:9001 (example: http://192.168.0.215:9001)

The gateway home page will show you basic status information about your gateway and the equipment it is connected to. You can use this page to verify connectivity, check network settings, manually update equipment readings, and to activate "listening mode".
Listening Mode
Listening mode prompts the gateway to start listening for action commands from criticallabs.com. Actions include things like performing device discovery or an SNMP walk. You can activate Listening mode by clicking the ‘on/off’ switch on the main Gateway Status page. Currently the action mode is only available to Critical Labs, as it is in alpha. When released fully, you will be able to discover devices and perform SNMP walks on your own.
Polling Equipment
Critical Labs automatically polls equipment for readings every 5 minutes by default. To manually poll a device at any time, navigate to the menu in the top right hand corner of the home page and select ‘Read Equipment’.
Setting up a Static IP Address
To set up a static IP address, navigate to the menu in the top right hand corner and select ‘Network Settings’. The gateway will automatically detect whether you are currently using a static IP address or DHCP. If the gateway is already configured for a static IP address, you can view and edit the settings, or switch back to DHCP. If a static IP address has not already been set then you may fill out the form fields and select the ‘Use Static’ button to save the configuration. This change will require the gateway to be rebooted before it takes affect.
NOTE: Incorrect settings can cause you to permanently lose access to your gateway. Before submitting your changes, make sure to verify that everything is correct.
